Is your skin ready for winter?
We all know how hard the elements can be on your skin during the cold winter months.
That being said, I wanted to share a few of my favorite skincare tips to keep you glowing and hydrated all winter long!
TIP 1 - Keep Showers Short!
Sounds weird right? We all love to warm up in a hot shower to escape the cold, but did you know this actually does the opposite of what we're trying to accomplish.
Extended hot showers actually remove moisture from your skin, which ultimately leads to dryness. As hard as it may be, try to keep them under 10 minutes if possible.
Your skin will love you for it!
TIP 2 - Oil up!
Most people are familiar with using moisturizer, but have you added essential oils
into your skincare regime yet?
are the ULTIMATE way to keep your skin hydrated all winter. They absorb really well, keeping your skin soft and hydrated in a way that moisturizer cannot do by itself.
Massage a few drops of your favorite essential oil
into your skin after a shower, followed by your favorite moisturizer for optimal results!
TIP 3 - Roll it in!
One of my favorite things to do is a spa day with my girlfriends!
The next best thing? Getting a spa-like treatment from my home with my facial roller
These handy little tools are multi-purpose and have been a life saver for my skin.
First, they boost your blood circulation and promote better digestion. This boost actually helps to keep your fingers and toes warm during the cold months.
Second, using a facial roller
helps improve elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines - who doesn't love that?!
Third, by adding this into your skincare regime, the rolling effect massages your products deeper into your skin, ultimately providing better results and healthier looking skin.
(Neat fact - no single facial roller
is the same, each stone is unique!)
I hope you' ve found these tips and tools as useful as I have!
